Racing Since:

Cameron Durow

I started riding when I was about 2 and a half years old. I had a little four wheeler which I use to ride around on in the garden. As I gained confidence my dad bought me a KTM watercooled 50. I then started training with William Gillit at Wild Will Racing. He taught me most of the basics and helped me through competing in my first race. At the age of 7 I started training with my current coach Andre Dearden who has been loyal and helped me through all the years since. He also supported and help me compete in my first ever National event. I managed to get my first National Championship overall win when I was 8 in the 50cc class. It was a very good year for me as I also won the AMU that year.

Racing has become a lifestyle. My day generally consists of me waking up at 4h30, I get ready for gym and have a personal trainer help me out twice a week from 5h00 to 6h00 and on the other days I follow a program. After school I generally go ride at either my home track, Pietermaritzburg or at tracks in surrounding areas such as Hammersdale or Springfield.
